Sunflowers!

Mommy brain strikes again! I forgot to include our mini-adventure after our camping trip.
We went to Buttonwood Farm near Mom's house to see the Sunflowers. They do hayrides through the fields of sunflowers and sell sunflower ice cream as a fundraiser for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. It was beautiful and delicious!

Gram and Mom aren't really as short as this photo makes them look--their haybail was smaller than ours ;)

Yum--ice cream with a view!

No ice cream for Wes yet--just duck.

Just before we left I took this picture of Wes and his tree. Mom planted this Japenese Maple just after he was born and it will be neat to see them both grow over the coming years.
