Happy Thanksgiving!

When Wesley took his first nap, we drove to Connecticut.

Wesley loved watching some of the Macy's parade with Grandma!

He also loved seeing his cousins, especially pulling Hayley's hair. Do you see the pure pleasure on his face? I'm just glad that Hayley is still smiling!

Wes was also VERY excited to see Aunt Tammy, and wanted her to know this!

He also met some of his other cousins for the first time--Danielle, Jennifer, Peter and Austen.

Yum! Thanksgiving food is delicious! Wesley enjoyed some corn, butternut squash, bananas, sweet potatoes, apples and apricots throughout the day.

I can't remember a Thanksgiving as warm as this one--Dad was in shorts while grilling the sweet potatoes,

Wes went for a stroll with Uncle Chris,

the kids could play outside,

and many of us ate outside!
Of course, it's now only about 30 degrees, but we enjoyed it while it lasted.

This is Wesley enjoying some of Grandpa's sweet potatoes!

The next morning Wes hung out with Grandma while we packed the car for Thanksgiving #2 at Great Grandma's house.

Here, Wesley had a lot of fun playing with his cousin Chris, banging on Great Grandma's table, and entertaining everyone.

Peek-a-boo with Chris was a great hit! The belly laughs were awesome!

We were also excited to see my two cousins, Karen and Kathy and their kids--Jacob, Jenna and Sarah. They were meeting Wes for the first time!

Forever a teacher, my mom brought a gingerbread house for them to assemble--it was great fun!

We were trying to feed Wes, but he thought Jenna was far too entertaining!

Not knowing when we'd see each other again, my cousins also came bearing Christmas gifts!

While Wesley has received MANY wonderful gifts over his short life time (THANK YOU!), these were the first he could unwrap (mostly) by himself. He especially liked the tag,

and tasting the present,

which the other kids thought was REALLY funny!

What was inside? A book! Some of Wesley's favorite things.

For the next gift, the kids and George helped Wes tear into the wrapping.

Wesley LOVES his new truck, cars, toy, kids' cell phone and books!

Wesley has become such a big book fan that it's one of the only things that clams him down. When he was sick last week, it was one of the only things that kept him from crying. His least favorite words? "The End." He cries!

Wesley also enjoyed playing window games with Grammie during our visit.

And, he learned over Veteran's Day weekend how to play "Pass the Ball," something he's getting very good at! Can you see the ball in mid air? That's from Wes!

With a wonderful Thanksgiving behind us, it is now officially the holiday season. We'll be putting up our Christmas tree this weekend, and will be thinking of all of or wonderful family and friends.
May you have a happy and healthy holiday season!
