Wesley's FIRST Birthday!

Happy First Birthday Wesley!

At home that morning, we gave Wesley our gifts, including this Melissa and Doug toy. Thank you to Brian, Cyndi and Ava for the super cute frog outfit!

Then, it was party time! We had the big bash in the common room of the "new dorm," a beautiful, bright space. One of my Mom's awesome gifts was some cash to hire one of our Visual Arts students to take photos so I could relax and enjoy the day. Thank you!
We were lucky that many of our family members and many of our Walnut Hill friends were able to join us for the big celebration!
This is Wesley, sharing with us that there's a frog on his shirt. Sticking out your tongue is the sign for "frog," his newest and most favorite word.
Wesley with two of his three loving Great Grandmas,
all three of his Grandmas,
his two Grandpas,
and his two adoring parents!
Wesley had his own, one-year-old-sized organic carrot cake. Thanks for the recipe Deniz!
One of the best parts of the day was the look on Wes' face when he realized that everyone was singing, and paying attention, to HIM!

Then, it was time for presents. Thank you so much everyone!Wesley already loves his water flutes.
Greg and Jan'Ann gave us a cute outfit, and Greg wore the adult version of it to the party. Too funny!
Wesley is currently going through a ball phase, so these Patriot balls were a great hit!Presents are fun!
So, we had a great day, but we were tired when all was said and done...Phil didn't make it very far before he took a nap!
After Wes and Phil napped, we had dinner in the dining hall,

and a bath.

We're so proud of you little man and can't wait to see how much you learn and grow in the coming year!
