Wesley loves Ava!

Wesley and Dewey anxiously awaiting the Tucker's arrival from Detroit. We're so lucky that we live less than 5 miles from Brian's parent's house! We were able to see them twice during their one week visit--once at our place and once at their place.
Wesley was more than happy to show Aunt Cyndi his mad singing and drumming skills!
Ava, learning all there is to know about boating while Wes skeptically watches on thinking, "MY book!"
Ava always makes great developmental leaps when Brian and Cyndi travel. In New Jersey when we saw them last, it was teeth and crawling. This visit was teeth and walking! She can go pretty far even without Brian hanging on.
They both enjoyed the ball popper--please note the bangs being blown up by the fan.
The best part of the xylophone? The stick to chew on, of course!
Wes trying to get in on the action.
Ava loves penguins!
Uncle Brian and Wesley reading one of his favorites.
The funniest part when we get together is always our attempts at a photo of the two of them. Here's Wes grabbing Ava to get her closer.
We quickly realized that a hugging photo was not going to work, so then we tried a standing photo. Not a smart idea. Then we tried a laying down, take the picture from above photo. Can't you tell that Ava loved this idea?
He's pretty psyched about the pretty girl next to him!
She however, wanted to escape ASAP.
Aside from the fact that we took Wes' nice shirt off and he has ketchup all over it (Yes, we've resorted to organic ketchup to get him to eat things, as our pediatrician suggested...she was right.), I think this is the best one of the two kids.
The cutest part, though, was watching them chase each other, crawling all over the house.
This is a few days later at the Tucker's house, but Wes was still intrigued by whatever toy Ava had.

Wes and Ava used the coffee table as a drum. Wesley is admiring his musical instrument :).
The stairs added a whole new dimension to the chasing game.
This is Ava's First Christmas and Wes thought her new hat was too cute! Happy First Christmas Ava!
