Florida!

Wesley, George and I had an uneventful, spacious flight down to West Palm Beach to see Grammie, Grandpa Joe and Great Grammie!

While we arrived too late to go to the beach for the afternoon, we did make it in time for sunset.

Looking for pelicans and seagulls with Grammie
Sharing treasures with Great Grammie
Wesley loved all of the toys and books Grammie got for him, including some favorites from last year.
The next day we were off to the beach!

On the way home, we stopped at a turtle rescue. Wesley made a new friend, Boo.
Possibly the coolest new toy was a battery operated bike.

Once he found Grandpa's helmet in the garage, he would only ride the bike with the helmet, almost to the point of making the adults a little crazy :).
Watering the flowers with Grandpa
Great Grammie, getting our string beans ready for dinner
Where's Wesley? In the shower,
with a friend.
Licking the frosting of Birthday Cake #1 off the beater
Wesley had a hard time "getting dirty" at the beach at first, but it didn't take long before he was really into it.

Got sand?
We were so lucky that Mary Lou and T-Jo came for a visit!

Happy Birthday Wesley!
Wes enjoyed eating the gummy bears off the cake

We also gave Grammie the other half of her birthday gift, a book titled "60 things I love about Grammie."Tub time with T-Jo is sooo much fun! (I thought about editing the beer out of this, but I think it adds a lot of class to the shot.)
Another day at the beach...

When we returned from the beach, Aunt Anne had arrived! It was great that we were all able to visit at the same time! Wes enjoyed singing ABCs with her, while keeping the beat on the clothespin basket.
Aunt Anne's birthday is the day before Wesley's so we celebrated her birthday with her the night she arrived. Wes was psyched about cake two nights in a row!Without a doubt, I think Wes' favorite part of being in Florida was having so many adults around that were willing to read to him. When one of us had had enough, there were plenty of others willing to read!
We enjoyed our relaxing mornings
And our relaxing evenings
A visit to FL isn't complete without at least one visit to the Flea Market, so off we went. By this point in the trip, though, Wes was SO TIRED! He was a great sleeper at night, but didn't get his usual hour-plus naps in the middle of the day.
During our last day, Grammie and Wesley made some fresh OJ.
The first serving went right into Wesley's sippy cup--yum!The rest went into the pitcher for us all to share,
but Wes wanted more! Good thing there there wasn't more in this container!
"What?"
That day we also went to the neighborhood picnic that Grandpa organized. This is Wes showing off his party clothes.

We were even lucky enough to get a boat ride from other guests!

After the picnic, we were all very hot, so we took one last trip to the beach. The waves were HUGE and it was very windy, but it was nice nonetheless.

Thanks for a great trip to Florida!
